Sidewalk Talk featuring Platter’s Chocolates

Joe Urban of Platter’s Chocolates was featured on Sidewalk Talk talking about Platter’s Chocolates.

Joe talks about the history of Platter’s and how his Dad used to live in the neighborhood of where the candy was made in 1938. With the opportunity to purchase the candy store, Platter’s became a family business. Platter’s worked to prefect Orange Chocolate which became a customer favorite. It was in 1993 when the family driven candy company learned how to make their famous Sponge Candy.

During COVID-19 and the regulations set in place, Platter’s is considered an essential business because we manufacturer food. The café is closed for dining, but allow to-go orders. Our teams have worked together to make sure that curbside pickup is an easy option, if interested. Customers are welcome to shop in store while social distancing, 6 feet apart, but must take their purchases to go. Website orders are available for shipping too, which has increased during this time.

Currently for to-go orders, you can purchase our famous chocolates, candy, coffee, specialty drinks, and ice cream. Visit our online Cafe menus to learn more. Products that can be delivered include our chocolates, candy, and selected café items like coffee beans, grounds, and K-Cups.

After COVID-19 restrictions are lifted, visit Platter’s Chocolate Factory at the Wurlitzer Building to visit our café, showroom, and for a tour of our operation. To schedule a tour, contact us.
