Here at Platter’s Chocolates, we love sending the gift of chocolate to friends and families all over the country and this season is no exception. We are encouraging all of our customers to ship early this season to avoid delays with your packages. We are seeing some longer delivery times than anticipated this year, as well as missing packages. 

Please know that we pack and ship out your order almost immediately, but once it leaves our shipping station, some things are just out of our control. The information that is available to you via USPS and FedEx, are the same resources that we have available to us to track your shipment. Even by calling or emailing us, we will not be privy to any other information that can be found at the websites below. With every order shipped from Platter’s Chocolates, we will send an email with your tracking number.

Please be on the lookout for the package delivery to ensure that your chocolates are in pristine condition upon arrival. You may even want to send a message to your recipients that their package has been delivered. Platter’s Chocolate cannot be held responsible for lost or stolen packages. Please understand that we have no control over the shipping carriers and the time it takes for your shipment to arrive.

IMPORTANT SHIPPING INFORMATION:

USPS Priority Shipping*:

We have had some confusion as to USPS priority mail. Please note that the delivery timeframe is not guaranteed, but a timeframe that the United States Postal Service strives to deliver your package within. You as a consumer are not paying extra for this service, rather we receive a discounted rate from the postal service, and we pass along that discounted rate to our customers.

We take as much care in shipping your Platter's Chocolates orders as we do in making our delicious confections. We offer overnight , 2nd day, and standard (up to 7 business days) shipping. FOR OVERNIGHT OR SECOND DAY AIR, please call 716-693-5391 ext. 104 for Quotes. 

Because temperatures vary across the country, we may choose not to ship over the weekend in order to ensure premium quality upon arrival. For this reason, we cannot guarantee Monday deliveries. Shipments to an APO/PO address must be sent via standard shipping and cannot be guaranteed to arrive by a specific date. These orders may take up to 14 business days to be delivered. Platter’s Chocolates currently ships to U.S. addresses only.

During the warmer months of the year, the temperatures across the U.S. pose a threat to shipping chocolates without causing damage. In order to ensure that your chocolate reaches its destination in good condition in good condition, we suggest purchasing a reusable ice pack.

From October 15th through March 15th, available shipping options include ground delivery, 2nd Day or Next Day Air. Options for shipment to warm weather states (including AL, AR, AZ, CA, FL, GA, HI, LA, MS, NM, NV, SC, TN and TX) REQUIRE 2nd Day and Next Day Air.

From April to September, available shipping options within New York State include ground delivery, 2nd Day or Next Day Air. Shipment to all other states is handled by 2nd Day or Next Day Air.

Regardless of the season, we suggest that someone be available at the address on the expected delivery day (Recommendation: Shipment to a business address).

Standard Shipping (PRIORITY MAIL*)
Most orders placed by 1pm ET will be processed the following business day and will ship out to arrive within 7 business days. Please note that due to the perishability of our product, we do not ship out on Fridays, Saturdays, or Sundays.

*Direct from the USPS- 1. In most cases, the expected delivery date printed on your receipt or provided at checkout will reflect a delivery time of 1, 2, or 3 business days and is based on origin, destination, and drop-off time. The expected delivery date does not come with a money-back guarantee.

2nd Day Delivery (PLEASE CALL FOR THIS OPTION)
Most orders placed by 1pm ET will be processed the same day. If your order is placed after 1pm ET, it will be processed on the next business day. Please note that 2nd Day Delivery orders placed after 1pm on Wednesday will not arrive until the following Monday.

Overnight Delivery (PLEASE CALL FOR THIS OPTION)
Most orders placed by 1pm ET will be processed the same day. Orders placed after 1pm ET will be processed on the next business day. Please note that Overnight Delivery orders placed after 1pm ET on Thursdays will not arrive until the following Monday.
