Slow Spokes™ North Tonawanda

Explore North Tonawanda with Slow Spokes™: A Summer Community Bicycle Ride

North Tonawanda is gearing up for an exciting summer of community engagement with Slow Spokes™ North Tonawanda, a weekly bicycle ride series set to kick off on May 15th. Organized by local enthusiasts at our very own North Tonawanda Neighborhood Watch and supported by Platter's Chocolate Factory and Fattey Beer Wurlitzer. Our hope is that Slow Spokes will bring Western New York Community together, connecting cyclists through fun, safety and social rides.

What is Slow Spokes™ North Tonawanda?

Slow Spokes™ North Tonawanda is an extension of the popular Slow Roll movement, focusing on group cycling, bicycle safety, and local engagement. Every Thursday evening, cyclists of all ages and skill levels gather at the historic Wurlitzer Building to embark on a leisurely ride through the picturesque streets of North Tonawanda and its surrounding areas.

Weekly Gatherings at the Wurlitzer Building

The rides start and end at Fattey Beer, the iconic Wurlitzer Building, a fitting backdrop for this community-driven event. Participants can register online for each weekly ride, ensuring a seamless start to each ride. Whether you're a seasoned cyclist or just starting out, Slow Spokes welcomes everyone to join in the fun and explore the beauty of North Tonawanda on two wheels.

Post-Ride Celebrations at Fattey Beer

After each ride, the festivities continue at Fattey Beer, where cyclists can unwind with live music, Fattey’s famous chicken sandwich, an ice cream from Platter’s Chocolate Factory, and chances to win exciting prizes. It's a perfect opportunity to socialize, share stories from the ride, and connect with fellow riders and local businesses.
